Out of breath
It's already been a few days since I wrote. Today is Thursday, and the weekend is looming...
This week has past by really fast and I almost feel like it slipped through my fingers without having a chance to hold it in. Anyways, I have still been really busy and this is the lowdown.
Last Saturday, I showed up at my friend Shane's apartment to have the door answered by Jeff instead! We spent the evening together, going around town, stopping by our friend Melissa's (who fed us homemade pizza! Thanks girl!), then to the Living Room for a bonfire. We stopped by to see Shane at work after, picked up Dusty and went out to Minnewanka Lake to try to see northern lights (we didn't see anything, and ended up playing around the river, throwing rocks and taking funny pictures!). On Sunday, I met up with Shane and Jeff for an early, early hike on Minnewanka Trail. We were there on time to catch the sunrise; it was just beautiful! Then, headed to church, lunch at home, followed by an afternoon with friends at the Hot Springs. It was great!
Monday night, I went to Canmore for 20-30s group. Tuesday, Rachel and I joined the Living Room for a night of indoor climbing. It was great! We met Sue, from Manchester, and went for coffee with her after climbing. My friend Jono, from Melbourne, was playing at Bruno's and so I joined some friends in going to see him play after. Wednesday, back to the church for C&C. Tonight, Thursday, good-bye party for my colleague Yibo, and tomorrow, ski all day and work in the evening.
Are you out of breath? I sure am... I haven't seen my roommate all week, having spent maximum 15 minutes at home at once! I haven't had a lot of time to call home and catch up with the family. Crazy week! But I like it that way...!
I have been feeling a bit sick all week, probably due to my vaccines. But it's getting better and I should be feeling better shortly.
I will be out on the hill tomorrow and Sunday, and so I will make sure to post some pictures from the top of the mountains as the view is breath-taking to see, really.
Although I am doing great, and truly enjoying my time here, I see the Holidays coming and I miss home. I should see a few of you during the Holidays and I am looking forward to that a lot!
Feel free to drop a note if you stop by to read this. I love you, all!
Annik
